Taj Reveen Winged

Taj was born on Sept. 10, 2001with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. On 9/11he had special permission granted by the FAA to fly from Moncton NB to Toronto for surgery after being diagnosed by the IWK Childrens Hospital in Halifax. This made him the only child in the skies over Canada on the day of the terrorist attacks.

He ended up having 3 open heart surgeries as well as other procedures so spent a lot of time at the IWK. At age 4 he started asking his parents why the people at the IWK referred to him as the 9/11 flyboy. They explained and that launched a facination with airplanes.

His facination led to him piloting a Cessna 172 Skyhawk over Moncton to raise money for the hospital. He was 5 at the time. He continued on to fly again at age 6 and at age 7 to fundraise.

Meeting Taj is a little humbling considering all he has been through and all he has accomplished. He truly is an inspiration.
