About Tacoma Community College Digital Photography

This group is the place where everyone in digital photography classes at Tacoma Community College puts their portfolio pictures for everyone else in these classes to see and comment on.
The portfolio pictures can be made on any subject using any technique you like, whether or not you learned about it in class.The focus of the portfolio assignment is to explore the camera and the computer as creative tools to produce pictures that are of interest to you. The minimum is 14 pictures.

Please include the term that you're taking the class in your screen name, like this, for instance: screennamesp06 (for spring 2006).

A note about comments: Feedback is what we all want. Why else would there be millions of public pictures on Flickr? But if you browse through a few photostreams you'll notice that only a very small fraction of pictures ever get comments. I know from my own experience in art classes that people don't readily talk, or even write, about their classmates work. So in the hope of encouraging feedback, here are a few suggestions:

Ask a question. People like to be asked about their pictures.

Describe what you see. People are always interested and amazed at what other people see in their pictures.

Be positive, constructive, and specific.

Be positive, at least. Just saying “I like it” is a lot better than silence.

Pictures put here will stay here for subsequent classes to see, unless you remove them.
