Wasyuu does those things. It's cute.
She'll also shake with you for a treat, and does an "obstacle course" which is a feat for her since she's HUGE.

My Loki used to fetch but he's been lazy about it lately. His newest trick is he jumps on his basket perch when told, usually when we're eating dinner so he doesn't attack us for food.

my Cali plays fetch, and she knows how to open doors- all of your cubboard doors have baby locks on them and we have to make sure that if we don't want her in somewhere the doors have to be locked.
my Tibbles talks, he really likes to argue, once I stepped on his tale and he cried 'mmeouch'...sometimes it is actually scary. He is also very good at sucking up!

So is this a tabby trait? Mine also kisses me if I make kissy noises and my boyfriend is constantly taking photos of my cat sleeping on my head or with its butt in my face. I'll have to upload a good one one of these days if he takes one that looks good! Matt did get a decent one of Sue giving me a backrub. He likes to stand and kneed my back, the bed, the couch, or pillows for long periods of time. The record is I timed him at 20 minutes in one spot on the bed.

I named him Sue to give him some grit and he constantly tells me just how much he hates the name. He's very vocal and sometimes sounds like a dog or a monkey. He also likes to sit on top of our snake's tank and torture the snake and the birds in the window:

Well my tabby is quite active in doing unusual things.
1) he knows how to play guitar, well actually he knows what to do to get some notes
2) he knows which button on my printer to press to start the paper feed
and then some normal things like opening doors and talking (meowing) a lot when I come home from work ;)

My tabby Morris is six months old and he sucks my thumb ! :D
He had a bad start on life he had been already in two homes when he
came to me I suppose that he had been given away too young and
feels insecure, he tried to suck my earlobe first, but I gave him my
thumb and now he comes to my shoulder for some comforting
thumb and stroking when I lie down . He is loved by my other cats
and they accepted him almost instantly he charmed us all and
I cant understand why people had given him back and twise the
owner thought of putting him to sleep, but luckily she heard of me
and now Morris is where he belongs :D( I have not any photos
of him yet,but soon I hope...)

Great, that you have him.I have seen this alot at the shelter, cats get adopted for a couple months and come back. I can't figure it out.cause most of these cat are the sweetest. We had three come back and I mean they loved to be held. Two of them already found other homes and hopefully the last one will find a home soon. In his case, he needs to be an only cat and he is indoor /outdoor cat .He is absolutely gorgeous though; the minute he see you ,he puts his paws up on your shoulders and jumps into your arms. With that personality ,he's not gonna be without a home for very long. Aizilyn

My tabby, Ami, was rescued by a group and then I adopted her. They told me she'd be a calm cat but her tricks tell me that she isn't a calm one!
She follows me around if I tell her to heal
she'll give me kisses if I say "gimme kitty kisses"
she always says please (meow) and pretty please (meow meow) for treats (toast) and food
she taught herself how to play fetch with her mouse
she calms my one year old niece when she's crying in her bed by going next to the bed and calmly meowing sweetly,
she knows sit and up (we're working on roll over)
I know I'm missing some!

I'm new to this group and just posted photos of my tabby Mittens, a few days ago. She was a rescue cat as well and came with a little friend. They were inseperable. She was big into headbutting and every morning at first light, she's gently pushing he little face against mine to wake me up. She also liked to sleep with her head on parts of my face occasionally, especially if I'd been away for a few days. I think from reading here that these must be common traits of behaviour in tabbies. Sadly ,after we'd had her for five years Mittens went out one day and never came back. I've been absolutely heartbroken since. Yesterday I had an email from the lady who arranged M's adoption to say she had another little tabby desperately needing a home. So by next week I hope to have another tabby in the household and will post some pictures here. Looking at all the beautiful photos on here made me finally decide that it was time to get another cat and it seems like this message was somehow received by the people at Catactiontrust, who I hadn't heard from in a year.
I feel so excited at the thought of a new litttle tabby peron in the household. We have two other mature cats and I'm not sure how they're going to take to it but we'll just have to work it out.

Voodoo, our kitten, plays fetch just like a dog. He will put whatever toy he's fetching into my hands when he brings it back. This is a little inconvenient when I'm trying to work out, but fun nonetheless.
One of our older cats, Emmie, always comes to my "rescue" when I say "help" if my husband and I are playing around. I think she'd probably take out a real perpetrator. She's a smart girl.
Gracie, the oldest of our three felines (all tabbies), poses whenever a camera comes out. She's been a beauty since she was a kitten, and likes to show off whenever possible.

our cat is called angel though i dont know why it gets up to all sorts
when the wife does her jigsaw and she turns away it gets in the box and lays down or lays across the puzzle so she cant add no more to the puzzle till angel moves or if we leave the backdoor open it will bring big branches or large twigs in

Molly will sit on command and give her paw, but only for treats! She's also very good at batting her toy mice back at you if you throw them to her.

Brutus will sit on command, even if there aren't any treats involved. And he loves to kneed his favourite pillow for minutes and minutes.

Apparently my kitty meows and wonders around the house when I'm not home for 2 or more days looking for me. And my cat hardly ever meows, she just moves her mouth. Lol. I think thats cute.

My kitty Lolly won't play with any toys, but she loves tearing up paper. She has actually destroyed my homework.
My husband and I have to leave a piece of newspaper on the floor every day. When we come the paper is mangled, but the game is not over. The second part of her obsession with paper is that she loves to have us chase her around the house. She makes frequent stops to tear the paper more, then roll on it, then sprint away. She's very strange.
Oh, and she also sleeps on my head.
