About Syzygy Community in Second Life
INTRODUCTION
The Syzygy Community resides in Second Life and is comprised of 7 sims. We are a collection of builders, scripters, artists and educators who enjoy exploring the potential of virtual worlds.
The Syzygy Islands are our palette for the creation of natural and unnatural spaces, a place where we can learn from one another and is our retreat from the hectic pace of real life. We are a fun, active & supportive community with monthly events & resident artist space. We welcome all respectful, open-minded individuals.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION
Syzygy is a kind of unity, especially through coordination or alignment, most commonly used in the astronomical and/or astrological sense. [1] Syzygy is derived from the Late Latin syzygia, "conjunction," from the Greek (syzygos). [2] an alignment of three celestial objects, as the sun, the earth, and either the moon or a planet.
Selene is the Greek Goddess of the moon. Helios is the Ancient Greek God of the Sun. Eos is the Ancient Greek Goddess of the dawn. Pyxis is a constellation, and is Latin for "compass" (specifically, a mariner's compass). Corvus is a constellation, and is Latin for "crow" or "raven". Nyx is the primordial Goddess of the night in Greek mythology. Calliope is a mythological muse, whose domain is epic poetry. The concept behind Syzygy is that it is a world that has been colonized by a number of beings throughout the ages, some of which have blended pre-existing ancient technologies with theirs.
