思源埡口是中央山脈與雪山山脈唯一相連的地方，是蘭陽溪與大甲溪的分水嶺，也是兩種氣候分界線。沿著宜蘭走中橫支線，經過泰雅族的部落南山村，山霧漸漸瀰漫，時濃時淡的霧，將幢幢大樹的身影，若隱若現的展露無遺。
