About bicycling to work in Sydney

This is a site for photographs and comments on issues relating to riding by bicycle to work in Sydney.

I would hope that many aspects of this growing mode of transport might be revealed by like minded individuals who express succinct moderate considered opinions on contentious issues.

I hope we might see discussions about bike transport infrastructure, safety, health, photos (one per person per day ideally geo-located) the beauty or ugliness of parts of the journey, unusual parts of Sydney, novel ways of getting there, keeping a bike running reliably, what to take to work, how to deal with bad weather, time management, riding and exercise strategies, how to get good photographs on a bike, how work-places might better accomodate cyclists, who is rich and famous and riding, and other relevant ideas that members might have.

I work part of the time in trauma care, so I would be interested in information on dangerous intersections, so that we could lobby for improvements in bicycle black-spots, and any thoughts on how riding to school might be encouraged.

If members have pictures showing how cycling is done better overseas we would welcome those photos and discussions, but mainly we would like to see pictures from around Sydney.

It would be interesting if there are some old photographs of bicycles in Sydney uploaded (or linked if there are copyright issues)
