About Southwest Virginia
The state of Virginia does not stop at Roanoke, but this group starts there and stretches to the end of the state. Southwest Virginia features some of the Commonwealth's most interesting history and beautiful locations.
Group Criteria
Photos added to the pool should reflect the unique character of Southwest Virginia. If it is not apparent from the photo itself why it is included here, please be sure to include a descriptive caption with the photo.
For the purposes of this group, Southwest Virginia covers the area west of Roanoke. Nobody here is going to care about a picture from Bedford County accidentally getting posted, but please try to make sure the photos uploaded come from the region.
For a more general group covering the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, visit Virginia Flickrazzi. For a community focusing only on the New River Valley portion of Southwest Virginia visit the New River Valley group.
