Many railway companies have retained some steam loks for charters,public specials and even engineering trains. There are also preservation groups whom are allowed to work their train on private and public railways and several preserved railways which operate mainly in the summer.
There is a steam fleet owned by SBB Historic which organise specials on the main line.
Please post any photo's on any of these subject

About Swiss Steam TrainsSteam trains, steam trams and steam locomotives. I would like this group to show steam on all lines in Switzerland. Mainline specials and steam on private and preserved railways are desired. There is no restriction on gauge. |
