02 Nov 11 - We've just reached more than 100 photos in the pool, and, I believe, they are mostly of remarkable quality and give a nice cross-section through "life on the streets of Swiss cities". Thank you all for contributing! Now I would like to ask you for two favours:

1) Please invite pictures you feel appropriate for this group. Attracting a few more people wouldn't hurt.
2) The group's icon is certainly neither very typical nor particularly nice to represent our group. Please nominate any picture...

About Swiss City Life & Street Photography

This group features and celebrates city life in Swiss cities.

What is "city life" compared to "street photography"? If the city is a stage, the people on the street are the actors. Street photography is all about the actors, while here, in this group, all is about the stage. However, the stage lives up to its best when there are actors.

What kind of photos should you post?
- Photos must be taken in a Swiss city
- Photos must be tagged with the city name
- Photos must be geolocated
- Your photo may be in color or b/w
- The main subject of your photo should show people "living in a city"
- Street photography is welcome as long as the setting and situations dominates over the depicted people (i.e. no full frame portraits, please)
- No empty streets, places or buildings
- No "postcard views"
- No "event documentary", e.g. finisher photos of sports events etc., unless they are remarkable from a photographer's point of view.

The group's photos should also help tourists and visiting photographers to find the best spots and locations in Swiss cities. Comments about the location are extremely welcome.

You may post 3 pictures per week. Pictures that do not follow the rules will be removed.
