About Swallowtail Butterflies (ONLY Swallowtails, PLEASE!!!)

This group will probably be one of the smallest groups on Flickr and that's ok with me. It's about NOTHING but Swallowtail Butterflies - Black, Tiger, Giant, Anice, Pipevine, Zebra - - - any Swallowtails!!

Don't miss this . . . beautiul photo by our group member "wvagasguy". I don't know "HOW" he does it, but I'm really glad he does and that he is inclined to "share".




I would love it especially if some of you who RAISE these beauties would join and add your "life-cycle" photos to the group pool. I would love to see us discuss the joys and sorrow and the ups and downs of butterfly raising. I would like to see photos posted of butterfly gardens (that is gardens that are planted for the specific purpose of attracting butterflies, in this case - Swallowtails.

The rules are simple . . . as many photos as you like of Swallowtail Butterflies in various stages from ova (egg) to larvae (caterpillars) to pupa (chrysallis) to butterfly!

There will be no nudity (I shouldn't have to say that, but I do because people love to stretch limits) allowed. There will be no photos allowed of predators eating caterpillars or butterflies. I prefer no dead butterflies but would consider on an individual basis if you want to ask me first :) There will be NOTHING allowed that is in the least bit "iffy" for small children to see. Violators will be immediately banned from the group and their photos removed.

Other than that - no rules - just butterfly lovers showing the results of their butterfly-ing!

Invite your friends to join us and bring their Swallowtail Butterflies with them!!!
