This is the group we've all been waiting for. Strange Vintage Fictions in COLOR! Yeahhhhh!
BUT take note. This is an invite only, or by application. You must have work that fits the group's objectives which are the following:
1. work must be STRANGE
2. work must be VINTAGE in appearance
3. work must be FICTIONAL in some way (fabricated, photoshopped, surreal, altered)
SOME color is OK, but if it's too loud and garrish it may be deleted. This will work itself out as we go. Think muted old, aged color. But have fun! YOU MUST use photographs in your work. Paintings and drawings are ok as background, etc. but the main focus here is photography. Feel free to use old, vintage photos or create your own making them appear vintage.
Petite Chose has great examples of color used in a subdued/vintage way. Here are a few examples!
All ADMIN have been granted the right to delete any photo they feel does not fit the group ideal! Think of this as a constantly evolving juried show. If your work continues to get deleted and you wish to know why, just flickrmail one of the admin for help.
ALSO, as with SVF Proper and the SVF Gallery, the message board is the place for all to meet and greet. Leave ideas, thoughts, daydreams, cool links, stories, daily drudgery, ramblings, rantings, ravings, etc. Just talk. We always appreciate that!
