About Green Buildings + Sustainable Communities
Hello! This group used to be called the Sustainable Building Centre group and this new name just reflects better the whole idea.
In the Sustainable Building photogroup you can see fabulous photographs of green buildings and sustainable communities from Paris, Chile, Toronto, Seattle and Vancouver. Like this gorgeous one in Paris (click on it to see the slide show for this group):
Please feel free to join the group and add your photos that you have taken of:
* your own green building or sustainable community projects
* famous or not-so-famous green buildings and sustainable communities that you have visited
PLEASE don’t add photos that are not taken by you!
See hundreds of photos - everything from Ken Yeang and Normon Foster classic green buildings to the new LEED-pending Hearst Tower in NY to a picture of bottles recycled within adobe walls to make an innovative and wonderful stained-glass effect ... to wind turbines in South Africa to an AMAZING green wall on a Paris building.

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: you would like to share your pictures of green buildings, green transportation, green power, sustainable communities that you have taken. We define “sustainable buildings” broadly – it includes social sustainability as well as environmental. Maybe it is a picture of a cohousing dinner, or the opening of a daycare centre or affordable housing centre; or maybe it is a recycled glass countertop or maybe it is a picture of the forest that the FSC wood comes from, or the wind turbine that produces the green power... Whatever it is if it is related to green buildings and sustainable communities, please feel free to share your photographs here.
