About Sustainability on Flickr

The Sustainability group on Flickr is Inspired by the Prix Pictet

"The Prix Pictet is a major new global prize in photography that focuses on perhaps the greatest single issue of the twenty-first century: sustainability."


I thought that the Flickr community should also have a chance to display and discuss images that encapsulate and symbolise the changes that are upon us.

I'd like to see images that could be used as posters for climate change, those that capture our current levels of irresponsibility and the damage we have done are welcome, but I'd also like to see images that show some hope for the future - images of sustainable living, alternative energy sources and projects, people living in a more sustainable way, positive uplifting images that make us all feel that there may be a way out of this if only we'd all try a bit harder.

Please treat your contributions to this group with some gravitas. Post nothing off-topic, be polite, and respect others. The issue's we are discussing here are too important to treat lightly.

If we're good enough, maybe we can get the attention of the nominators for the Prix Pictet for next year :-)
