About Surfing - the bigger picture
The idea of this group is to have surf photos in context. With all the image stabalizing, super-fast, auto-focusing, telephoto-tastic lenses around there are loads of great shots of surfers surfing.
What I'm trying to do is put a little bit of art and composition back into surf photography and look at waves and surfing in context.
The rules are:
*No close up surf shots
*Photos must include a context, e.g. the beach, cliffs etc
*Landscapes with GREAT waves are what we want
*Waves must be surfable/'wave porn' material. i.e. NO stormy seas or onshore pap
*Waves may or may not have people surfing on them
Have a look at the first few photos I've put on here and that should give you an idea of what I'm getting at
So basically if you are using a 600mm with a 2X converter this isn't the group for you!
