SD10: SD are Volks' first range of SD type dolls released. They are meant to represent children of around 10 years of age and so are often referred to as SD10. They are roughly 55-56cm (22inches) tall, and have approximately a 22-25cm (8.7-9.8inches) sized head. Most of them can also wear DD sized wigs, but the older models who have larger heads will find them a tight fit. SD are the same size as the Tenshi type KyoTenshi.

SD13: SD13 are Volks' third range of SD type dolls released. They are meant to represent children of around 13 years of age, a little more mature than the original SD10. They are roughly 57-62cm (22-24inches) tall, and have approximately a 22-23cm (8.7-9.3inches) sized head. Most of them can also wear DD sized wigs, and the newer ones often fit better in DD than SD size. SD13 are the same size as the Tenshi type SeiRei.

MSD: MSD are the second range of dolls that Volks released after SD. They are roughly 42-43cm (17inches) tall, and have approximately a 19.5cm (7.7inches) sized head. Some of the Sato limited heads are slightly smaller and can fit SD Cute wigs, but they are generally a tight or difficult fit on most MSD heads. MSD are the same size as the Tenshi type KoTenshi.

SD Cute: SD Cute are a more recent line from Volks, designed to meet demand for a smaller doll but with a more mature figure, unlike the childlike MSD. They are roughly 42-44cm (17inches) tall, and have a 18.5-19cm (7.3-7.5inches) sized head. The boys are slightly taller and with slightly larger heads than the girls. They are capable of sharing wigs with MSD, although the wigs are a little large on them. So far, only Limited Edition models have been released.

Yo-SD: YoSD are one of Volks' newest lines, and one of their most popular. They are roughly 26.5cm (10inches) tall, and have a 17cm (6.7inches) sized head. They are capable of sharing wigs with SD Cute, although the wigs are a little large on them. So far, only Limited Edition models have been released. YoSD are the same size as the Tenshi type YoTenshi.

SD16: SD16 are one of Volks' newest and largest type of dolls. They are meant to represent teenagers of about 16 years old. They are also Volks' most poseable dolls to date. The boys are 65cm (26inches) tall and the girls are 62.3cm (25inches) tall. Their heads are 23-24cm (9.1-9.3inches) in size. They are capable of wearing both SD and DD type wigs. So far, only Limited Edition models have been released.

SD17: SD17 are Volks' newest type of SD. The first SD17 boy was released at Dolpa 17 in May, 2007. SD17 are comparable to SD16, being only slightly taller (approx 1-2cms) and with a similar style and shape, but the SD17 boy is somewhat thinner and leaner around the chest/hip area. The SD17 head is somewhat smaller than the SD16, coming in at 23cms (9.1inches) and wears a DD size wig.
