Interesting... My 10th most interesting photo, and my most interesting sun photo is this one...

Surprising given how boring it is, and the fact that it was only posted to contrast with a sunrise I /did/ find interesting.
My 15th most interesting photo, and my most interesting "real" sun photo is the following...

This is my 20th most interesting, and probably my favorite sunset shot for a few reasons:

it's an extra-wide stitched pan of what was a really incredible scene. shot with my girlfriend's 35mm about 5 years ago.
It's definitely best viewed large. =]

You can read all about interestingness on Flickr Blog - it's linked on the front page. It's really, well, interesting! Has to do with your relationship to the people who view/favorite the photo and a lot of other stuff.

My most interesting sun photo is my third most interesting…

Although I’m thinking now maybe my most interesting is a sun photo too as it shows the light and shadow from the setting sun…

…so I think I will add this to the pool. This is also placed the 2nd most interesting of all the photos on that day.

My most interesting sunrise/sunset photo turns out to be the following:

I don't quite agree with it because I have better sunrise/sunset shots in my stream. I believe this one comes up high in the list because it was viewed four times within minutes after I uploaded it and also probably because it has been commented.

This one is my most popular shot. and is a try at doing an animation of a sunset. I think it works well enough, considering the limitations of what can be done with a flickr account.

This is number 3 on my personal interestingness list, although it enjoyed a brief stint at number 1. I wouldn't call it my most interesting photo on personal taste, nor does it have a chance of equalling many of the brilliant photos posted in this pool, but I still like it-- I took it from the window of a plane, and it's not often that you see something like that-- that strip of dark blue following the curve of the earth.

#5 overall in my admittedly small library of pictures, but one of my faves. It's what amounts to an afterthought shot while at the Commodore induction party for The Anglers Club in North Key Largo, one of my favorite places in the whole world. We had just had the flag ceremony and were about to head into the club for dinner and drinks. The Dockmaster was draining the water from what I believe is a bait holder on the dock, all of the club members were off of the docks and inside having cocktails, there was only a slight breeze and the sun just *exploded* with color.
What I'm most proud of is that this picture was rendered like this without any photoshop except for some aesthetic cropping.

(which is part of this pool) has just been passed by, interesting-wise, by this one:

Although it even has "sunset" in its title I'm not sure whether it's suitable for the pool. How do you feel about it?

oops - just discovered this one made it from zero to #5:

em - does anybody have a clue how "interestingness" is working?
it´s definetely not only the amount of views/comments/favs - seems to be important WHO is commenting/faving/viewing... i guess attracting new people (no contacts) weights more & this would hinder cheating too.
any ideas?
ps: wonderful pool! enjoy the warming rays of sun :)
