About Sun In Background Photos where the sun is not the main subject, but is very bright and very prominent in the background. The main subject should be adequately lit, and not just a silhouette. Sunsets or sunrises are OK only if the sun is still very bright. The main subject should be something other than the sun, like a building or a person. The background can't be completely blown away, so you must be able to tell it's the sun in the background. Extra bonus if the sun is part of the composition.
