About Summit County Metro Parks

Summit County Metro Parks

Everyone has some local park system near them, this group is simply about the one we share here in Akron and it's surrounding cities in Summit County.

History
Metro Parks, Serving Summit County was established in 1921 as a separate political subdivision of the State of Ohio. Today, the park district manages nearly 9,000 acres, including 13 developed parks, six conservation areas and more than 120 miles of trails.

Note:
Geotagging and mapping your photos make a wonderful tool for other photographers. Some may wonder what trail or location you took and may want to hike that area while others may want to travel to the same place for their own shot. If you have the time, try it.

Suggestions & Rules:
Please keep it clean (family friendly) and only of the Summit County Metro Parks.

Tag all you photos with is as much detail, as far as location goes. What park, trail, city, etc.

Give a little description of what we our seeing, or of what it was like, or what you saw, you get the idea.
