About Suicide Silence
Suicide Silence was formed in late 2002, but didn't get serious until 2004 when the lineup started to solidify. The band signed to Century Media Records and finished recording their first full-length album entitled The Cleansing which was released on September 18, 2007. The album was recorded with producer John Travis (Static-X), while Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted) handled mixing duties. The album debuted at number 94 on the Billboard 200, selling 7,250 copies the first week, and became the highest selling artist debut in Century Media history.
Prior to being signed to Century Media, the band had only come out with one studio-quality release, the Suicide Silence EP which was released in the U.K. by In At The Deep End Records (Architects, Gallows). And in the U.S. by ((SOS)) Records.
