29 Jun 07 - Here's the place for you to put all those great cheesy ads for "How-To" become a doctor, musician, radio repairman, professional dancer, reaching success (popularity, & lots of easy money) all within the comfort of your own home!!! Usually found in the back of popular magazines, such as Popular Science and Modern Mechanix, etc.

I'm currently looking for employment, so maybe that is why I find these ads to be especially hilarious. Especially the ones about "Be an artist" and make a fat paycheck!

Vintage advertisements for the EASY way to Succeed in No Time --- exciting (and profitable!!) new careers, self-instruction, DIY careers, learn from home, talent tests, How-tos, instructional materials, technical training, international correspondence schools, getting set up with a home business, etc.

Some examples:How to become an Artist (and make lots of money), How to learn to play piano (or some other musical instrument) at home and turn "Music into Money", How to turn your home decorating skills into a fulfilling career in interior design, How to become a TV or radio repairman, writer, nurse, etc.

Vintage instruction materials (or ads) on how to have the necessary characteristics (such as a commanding voice, math skills, you name it), are also welcome, as are actual examples of vintage home training brochures and educational materials.

Note: Vintage is 1980s or earlier, many of the ads will be from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s...
