About Subdivisions

Have you ever seen those billboards advertising Pre-construction prices on Single Family homes with a photo of the most expensive model, and maybe a photo of a family enjoying a peaceful day on their swingset, or maybe a senior couple taking a stroll. Then there is that open space and mountain of dirt. A trailer with a small gravel parking lot out front, and many green posts lined up, making the form of a street.

A sprawling Development is underway.

Once finished, you're greeted with a maze of streets with upper-middle class homes crammed together on tiny lots with pools and SUVs and Minivans in the driveway? With a two-car garage, a sidewalk, and Speed Limit 25 and Watch Children signs, and Identical Streetlights and Fire hydrants beside the belgiu-block lined street. The entrance to the development may be dressed up with brick pavers and trees, but once you get inside, you can't beat that cold, secluded feeling, even though the homes are so close together and close to the road, they literally tower over you. Maybe there will be a guy moving his lawn, or kids playing in sprikelers, or a woman walking her dog, but you're all alone in those monstrosity suburbs.
