About Stymie Bold Italic
This group is dedicated to the font Stymie Black (Bold) Italic - a Slab Serif font which became popular in the 1950s and 1960s. It was most notably used in the Granada Television ident, on which there is a detailed introduction here:

Examples of this font, either close-up, or in context of the wider picture, are welcome. Outline examples are especially nice! Copies and near matches (such as non-italics) are also welcome if they capture the mood or signify this classic post-war look.
