About Strobist for Sports Shooters

This group is for all you Dave Hobby aka "Strobist" fans. www.flickr.com/groups/strobist/ How do you get your flash off camera and utilize it in the extremely challenging world of sports shooting.
Dave Hobby's Strobist is based on the premise that one can utilize the relatively inexpensive and highly portable speedlight (hotshoe) flashes to:
1. better your images if you are using strictly on camera flash.
2. achieve similar lighting as the bulkier and much more expensive studio lights.

This group is a spinoff of that concept and is meant to focus on sports, action, and athletic photography. You don't need to be shooting a sports team...if there is action and there are lights off camera- this is the place for you
