04 May 09 - if you want to, please tag your photos in this pool with "streetsforpeople" (not required though). Also geotagging your photos would be really great!
It's OK if your photos focus on the "people" but make sure they still show something of the outdoor/street context shown that helps provide a reason for being in this pool.

About Streets for PeopleA group photo pool to collect great examples of shared streets focused on alternatives to auto travel. They might still include access and facilities for automobiles, trucks, and buses, but should also cater to and be designed equally for other users, such as pedestrians and bicyclists. Features and amenities that these so-called "complete streets" may provide include sidewalk cafes, robust vegetation, healthy and large trees, natural drainage and stormwater facilities, areas for festivals or street markets, public seating, traffic calming features, bicycle racks, and so on. |
