About STREET ROMANCE

This group is about street photography and candids that capture scenes of lovers sharing a moment of romance together.

This group is NOT about:
1) posed portraits
2) nudity
3) porn
4) voyeurism
5) pictures that are not taken out on the streets in public places
6) wedding photography or engagements
7) homosexuality (we have nothing against this but this is not what we want)
8) Non-humans
So please do not pose such pictures. Principles of street photography applies.

In addition, this group is created in tribute to the great French street photography master Robert Doisneau (April 14, 1912 - April 1, 1994), who is most famous for this work Le baiser de l'hôtel de ville (Kiss by the Hôtel de Ville).

About that photo; long story short, Doisneau, who was working on a photo series about lovers in Paris for Life magazine, took that photo in 1950. The photo was later reprinted in 1986 as a poster and skyrocketed to fame. Then in the early 1990s Doisneau was sued for the photo and in the court suit, he revealed that the photograph was actually posed, concluding the suit in 1993. He died a year later in 1994.

Despite the fact that the picture was posed, it never lost its allure and had inspired many street photographers.

And despite the story behind Robert Doisneau and Le baiser de l'hôtel de ville, this group does not accept posed shots.
