About Street Portraits Project - please read the rules-

This group is dedicated to taking portraits of interesting people that you do not know.

The only rules I wish to enforce at this time are;

1) 14 submissions per week.

2) You must request permission of the subject and explain your intent. You will be on your honor on this one but I believe this is very important to the project.

3) The photos must be a face-forward portrait not a candid shot.

4) Post processing is allowed and encouraged.


People who are used to my others groups will notice that having rules is out of the ordinary for me, but I have a very strong feeling about this project and I believe rules will keep this true to the concept.

I would like to see people take this project as seriously as some take the 365 project.

Some people will find it difficult to approach people you do not know and ask them to pose, but I believe this will help shy or conservative people in much the same way the 365 project has helped folks redefine their self-image.

But as usual lets have fun.
