27 Mar 07 - Thanks everyone- some really great photography here! Two smallish items (that I hope will enhance the emphasis on composition):
1) I'm limiting it to 2/day instead of 10/week, in an attempt to make sure people are thoughtful about the "composition" instead of just all street photos taken that week.
2) With a good number of photos now, I'll do some editting soon. No offense intended if I remove a photo. See newest post for more info on my editting theory.

About Street Composition (Fine Art Street Photography)In Henri Cartier-Bresson's pre-Magnum days, many of his photos were street photography purely for the sake of abstract composition. The "decisive moment" in those days was not a fleeting emotion or a newsworthy event, it was a moment where the angles and placement of the people, buildings and objects came together as pure aesthetic beauty, a "moment" of still life in the grander world. |
