About Storm Cruising

Do you like to drive around and take pictures of weather? You know...just hang out and watch the pillars of heaven shake? I'm not talking about storm chasing, where crazy meteorological students chase tornadoes. This is the more laid back and relaxing version. I call it storm cruising.

I know you're out there. I pass by many of you every time I drive to the outskirts of town to watch the wild high desert weather unload on Las Vegas and it's surroundings. You're pulled over aiming that huge lense at a curtain of rainfall as it glides off the local range or just leaning against your car taking it all in, coffee in hand.

If this is you feel free to share your pics here. Dramatic or mellow, giant landscapes or up close and personal, doesn't matter. Show us what you find out there when the weather turns wild!
