01 Mar 07 - When you visited Stonehenge, did you go for a walk in the surrounding landscape? Did you take any photos? You're welcome to submit photos of the Stonehenge landscape here - so add your photos of burial mounds (barrows) and nice landscape scenes that put the stones in context :-)

Cheers,

Tom

About Stonehenge

Stonehenge is a mysterious and photogenic place, a monument of great antiquity and importance. It sits in a huge prehistoric funerary landscape; it's real purpose evading everyone.

This group isn't just for photos of the stones themselves, it aims to encompass the spirit of the place too. Post your photos of events and celebrations at the stones too, people looking at them, and views from the monument. Add your photos of the surrounding landscape, of burial mounds (barrows) and other monuments that help put Stonehenge in its context.

Stonehenge is much more than just a stone circle...

Stonehenge is cared for the nation by English Heritage. Visit the official Stonehenge website.
