Dear Taxpayer:

I am pleased to inform you about the Flickr group "Economic Clusterf*ck of 2008-9" which started off as a group for the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, but has been renamed in light of the continuing fun which looks like it's not going to end anytime soon!

If you've somehow managed to capture "flagging economy" in a photograph, this would be a good place to toss it. If you've photographed something that wouldn't exist if the economy was rolling along, then add it. Just perfected your technique to siphon gas out of your neighbor's car? That's the sort of thing we want to see. If it's related to the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, the mortgage/credit crunch, the sluggish economy, high gas prices, home foreclosures, recession, high food prices (which has now become a worldwide problem), the weak US dollar, tumbling stock prices, unemployment, layoffs, disappearing retirement savings, or collapsing banks, then let's see your talents. Can you figure out how to photograph toxic debt or a feeling of hopelessness? Can you show how the recession is affecting you personally?

Photos unrelated to the current economic situation go in another group. Also, in the interest of keeping things interesting, if you submit a bunch of photos of the same thing taken from slightly different angles, I likely won't accept all of them. And photos are highly preferred over screenshots.

Lots of subjectivity, I know.

Clusterfuck: A chaotic situation usually characterized by a complex entanglement of problems in which a solution for any of the problems exacerbates one or more of the other problems.
