About State Library of South Australia Collection Development

This group is for anyone who wishes to donate photographs of South Australian people, places and events for inclusion in the collections of the State Library of South Australia. www.slsa.sa.gov.au

By submitting a photograph to this group the owner confirms that they have the legal right to donate the photograph, and in so doing they give a non exclusive licence to the State Library of South Australia to reproduce and distribute the photograph.

The State Library of South Australia agrees that any use will acknowledge the photographer and that by submitting the photograph the donor is not restricted from any other use they may choose.

When submitting photographs please submit jpeg images of as high a resolution as you are able, preferably over 1800 pixels on the long axis.

The purpose of the group is to collect and preserve images of South Australia, its people, places and events. We request that you only submit images of South Australian content without modification beyond exposure correction.

Images with added or deleted content including copyright statements, small resolution, or from photographers who have disabled the download function of their photographs will exclude them from appraisal and will be removed from the group.

All additions to the archival collections are subject to appraisal and submission of a photograph does not necessarily constitute acceptance of it into the archival collections of the State Library of South Australia.

Description, tagging, and placing your photographs on the map will assist their appraisal.
