Welcome to Succeeding as a Wedding Photography Business (SWPB)! This is a place for people who are starting or running a wedding photography business to grow, learn from each other, and share experiences. This is NOT a photography 101 group. If you have just bought your first "real" camera,there are a load of groups here on flickr that are a valuable resource about learning to use it. This is NOT that group. This group is for those who are already well on their way to starting a wedding photography business. Seasoned wedding professionals are VERY welcome. Come pay it forward and help the newbies in the biz out a little.

You will be denied if it looks like you are shooting with a camera phone or a point and shoot camera. A person looking to book weddings should have at least a consumer grade DSLR ( and know how to use it:).

If I can see no photos on your photo stream I will not let you join, so even though I respect your right to privacy, this group is for sharing and I do not think you would be a good fit.

This group is private (invitation only). If I cannot tell from your front flickr page that you're actively involved in running or starting a wedding photography business, your membership will be denied. The easiest way to get in is to have a set of photos on your homepage titled "Wedding Portfolio" that showcases your best work related to weddings.

Membership is granted at the sole discretion of the Admins.


PLEASE NOTE This is NOT a forum for selling your workshops, actions, presets, etc. It is also NOT a forum for other wedding vendors. It is a group for working photographers.
Rules may occasionally be bent for regular, active, contributing members. This is at the discretion of the Admins and Moderators of this forum.




NEW RULE as of 9/22/10 - applicants who have had a flickr account for less than 3 months will be denied.

WHAT GOES ON SWPB STAYS IN SWPB

In other words, if you share threads, info, etc, that could be deemed damaging to this group or it's members with people or entities outside of this group, you may immediately be removed as a member.

Why? Because we strive very hard to keep this place a safe haven for it's members to share experiences that others can learn and grow from and often they would not feel safe doing so without it.
