About Roll-start accidents / burned edges / unintended shots (FILM)You know, that ambiguous partially burned out first shot that sometimes appears at the beginning of the roll when you don't advance it far enough, or when the shutter misfires and you snap the photo on accident and it turns out really weird, or you somehow manage to load the film in wrong and get something that isn't quite identifiable, basically any technological error on the part of the photographer as opposed to the camera itself... yeah you get the idea. I think it's all about the randomness and spontaneity of those accidental exposures that make them all so interesting, especially the ones where you can't even identify the image or where you happened to be at the moment when you snapped the photo. Anyway, this is for all those wonderful 'wasted shots' out there. |
