About Stair accidents, and accidents waiting to happen

This is to record the after effects of a stair accident, or a stair incident.
It includes physical injuries, to people, and physical damage to buildings and property.

It also is to show dangerous stairs (or rather stairs which look particularly dangerous, because everyone knows all stairs are dangerous).

If you have an unusual or dangerous stair, or one where an accident/incident has occurred, then post it here. The more details about the incident and the stair the better. There is nothing finer than knowing someone fell down a flight of stairs, and they were only 7 inches from stair front to stair front. Show us where the handrail was too wide to hold on to. Show us the hole in the wall where you used your head to stop you moving.

Posed photographs are a disappointemnt, unless they are a recreation. We need to show how dangerous staris really are, so we can find out how to improve them. Make them bigger, more handrails, less slippery. Let us band together and make the world a safer happier place.
