About Sudanese Refugees in Israel
Shalom Shalom Jerusalem Ministries is involved in assisting the hundreds of Sudanese Refugees who have come into Israel in the last months.
In the short term, we are providing immediate necessities of life for the 50 refugees who came from Egypt July 6th and are temporarily in Jerusalem. University students are the ones primarily who have taken it upon themselves to help these refugees and have been paying out of pocket and the donated items we are providing for the refugees is helping this effort.
This week we were able to purchase backpacks, duffel bags, toys for the children and medical supplies.
This is on ongoing project as there are about 1,000 refugees being cared for by the university students in Beersheva as well. Please contact us if you would like to make a donation: contact@shalom-shalom-jerusalem.org. YOu may make a donation on our website through Paypal.
The Nazareth Bible Society has offered a donation of Arabic bibles as most of these refugees are Christians.
