About Square Australia

This group is set up to showcase square format photographs taken in Australia.

Please include in your tags:
* Australia
* Square
* Format
* Location name and / or add to the map
* "You're so square" or "Baby, I don't care" are optional

A SQUARE photograph is just that ... rectangles that are nearly square do not qualify!
Where a photograph is bounded by a frame or border, both the photograph and the border must be square.

Square format film and digital crops are OK, we're being inclusive here!

Square format Through the Viewfinder is fine but see the border note above.

To allow for re-sizing errors we allow Medium Size images (500 x 500 pixels) an error of 3 pixels along one side.

Please ensure that photographs posted to the pool fit this definition. We set out to have a pool that is consistently Square both in format and when viewed on a Flickr page. Images that are not Square stand out like a tick on a blue tongue lizard!

Second request ... If you're posting a Square image on a white or light coloured background, please consider adding a fine line/border to define the edge of the overall image. That way it won't be mistaken for a non-Square image and deleted!
