About Spotlight Seven

Each week, this group will feature portraits from a different photographer chosen by either smoothdude or a guest curator.

This group is a spinoff of the 6 Million People group, which is a collaborative effort collecting photographs of 6 million different people, one person at a time. We call Spotlight because we focus on one photographer, and Seven because each artist is featured for 1 week-- 7 days. A different artist will be chosen each week to have his or her work displayed here, featuring 10 of their photos, accompanied by 10 questions asked by the curator. At the end of the week, the pictures remain in our group pool and a new photographer will be in the spotlight.

We have already amassed a beautiful collection of portraits, which will continue to grow week after week.

Please stop by each week to look at the exceptional portraits, talk about the pictures, ask the photographers questions and learn how to take better picture yourselves.

If you are interested in being highlighted, please add your name along with links to few of the shots you would include in the exhibit. The curator for the week will choose a new photographer each week. A complete archive of the featured artists is available. Thanks and enjoy!
