About Spectacular Skyscapes--invited images only--tag: SpecSky
Welcome to Spectacular Skyscapes!
Invited images should feature the sky. Most of the picture should be of the sky, though there can be some land in it. The emphasis is on spectacular. If the photo does not evoke a "wow!" or a sharp intake of breath, it does not belong in this pool. Photos that are just pretty or that feature landscapes are not what this pool is about, although the sky showing in reflections may be acceptable. I am looking for photos that are dramatic, radiant, vibrant and strikingly beautiful.
Some image manipulation is okay, but natural shots are preferred.
Images can be posted by invitation only, so please post an image only if you see the following in the comments:

If you are invited once, it's only for that specific image. Every individual shot needs to have the invitation. When requesting membership after having a photo invited, please attach link to invited photo.
As a member, you are encouraged to find and invite photos, but you cannot invite your own image. You may, however, wish to post your image in the Blatant Self (or Other) Promotion thread to see if it will be invited. If it is, please remove it from the thread.
Please add the tag 'SpecSky'.
Please also invite others to post in the group by copying and pasting the above in their comments, but please do not invite photos to the pool just because someone wrote a nice comment on one of your own photos. Make sure the photo is spectacular.
You don't have to be either a member or an admin to invite photos into the pool; just copy the invitation and paste it into the comments of the picture you want to invite.
There are pools for moon shots, so please don't invite or post them here.
Uninvited images will be removed from the pool, as will be photos that the administrator deems not spectacular, and the administrator reserves the right to veto a nomination.
