Humpback male born in 1984 named Fissure. His mother is Veil they are both in the North Atlantic Humpback whale catalog. As a two year old, he enjoyed attention from whale watch boats.

I took this picture today and for some reason it just makes me feel happy. I don't know if it's my best animal shot - maybe it is - I'm just not sure - but I smile whenever I look at it, so here it is.

For me it's hard to pick MY best shot, it's much more easier to pick someone elses best shot...
I like to choose a recent one, so that's why I decided to pick this one. Maybe not 'the best' shot I took, but I do love the overall image a lot.

I don't know if this is my best. I have quite a few shots I consider good. I don't think any are perfect due to lighting, motion or other issues. This one I consider to be among the best I have taken.

Well, I think this one might be my personal favorite... although the Flickr public seems to disagree, putting one of my bird photos way ahead of this in popularity. :)
Best viewed large, though. Maybe that has something to do with it.
