SPECIAL ALERT! 10-26-06. I hadn't checked out this group in a few months and was very disappointed when I did so this evening. When I created this group I envisioned a place where we could pay tribute to very special friendships in our lives. I didn't say anything about pets or livestock like horses because I didn't feel that it was necessary. But apparently it is, so here goes: While your dog or cat or horse or goldfish may seem special to you, I originally envisioned this group as a place to show off your very special HUMAN friends, so please keep that in mind. And since you couldn't possibly have lonnnnnnngterm friendships with children, this isn't the place for shots of kids ... although an exception would be a friend you've known FOREVER along with his or her kids.

And I guess I need to cover THIS base as well: This is a Public group and membership is open to all at flickr. So NO nudity and nothing SEXUAL! Sending shots like that could get this group deleted by flickr.

Now here are my original group instructions as written on the day I created the group.

About those friendships that seem to transcend the ordinary. These are people who have brightened our lives and made our lives worth living for many years. They were always there when we needed them and helped us when we needed someone to help us. Some of these friends may no longer be living, but our memories of them and what they gave us remain in our hearts. While I was thinking more in terms of FRIENDSHIP rather than romance or family, if YOU feel that your partner ... husband, wife, lover, parent, sibling, cousin, child, WHATEVER ... falls into this category, include that person or persons, although I cannot stress too strongly that this group is dedicated to special FRIENDSHIPS rather than special RELATIONSHIPS, familial or otherwise. Don't include your grandson or your sister's new baby .... these do NOT fall into the special friendships category as I, the creator of this group, evision it.

This is not a rule, but it would be nice if you could tell us a bit about these people who mean so much to you, at least in a caption under some of the pics. Give your loved ones some well-deserved compliments!

If there is any, please crop out nudity you wouldn't want your mother to see, and definitely NO X-Rated material!
