About Social and Philosophical debates

I was a part of several political discussion groups on flickr and administered a group as well. But it gets boring after a while because it is always so black and white. I believe with social and philosophical debates, there is a much greater chance to arrive to a common consensus and learn from each other rather than always ridiculing the position of the other side and shouting matches which is what all political groups eventually seem to degenerate to.

Please try and start new topics on social issues. They can have a political connection, and that is not an issue, but please make sure that politics doesn't overshadow the debate.

I like debates and broadening my perspective, because there is so much to learn with so many different people and cultures and religions and traditions and history in various parts of the world. I am interested in exploring this further and thus the group.

I hope I will find many people who too are interested in exploring such issues further.
