About Sao Paulo's Alternative Life Style

Sao Paulo is a city with no master, it has its own soul. Nobody can see its face and no camera is big enough to picture it. In this group we try to show Sao Paulo's face by joining our photos of its *alternative* lifestyle. It can be anything deeply related to the city's unique *urban* life in an alternative way.

We try to show groups of people, subcultures, alternative lifestyles, creativity, life taken as an art. With *quality* picutres.



Sobre o grupo São Paulo's Alternative Life Style:

Nenhuma câmera é grande o suficiente para fotografar São
Paulo. Neste grupo nós tentamos mostrar a cara de São
Paulo postando nossas fotos de seu estilo de vida
alternativo, de coisas pouco comuns. Isto pode ser qualquer
imagem profundamente relacionada com a singular vida urbana
da cidade através de um olhar crítico e diferente.
Tentamos mostrar grupos de pessoas, subculturas, estilos de
vida alternativos, creatividade, vida fotografada como uma
arte. Sempre com fotos de qualidade.




Welcome Photos :

Some examples of welcome scenes are the presence of art in the city, like graffitis, public installations... Concert or other musical performances are welcome too if it shows a common alternative culture among people. Architecture is welcome as well since it shows how people are living but make sure it shows how people choosed to live in a *different way*. You can also show the flux of people for a better focus on the people who are *out of the main stream* of that flux.
Just show how people in this city find their own way, be creative.





Photos NOT welcome :

- Photos of normal things or normal people doing normal stuffs WILL be removed either by you or by an admin. Get inspired by the photos already here, try to post some photos and if you explain your point of view in the description about how this is your view of an alternative life style, how people got to change the normal way of things chances are your photo will stay here. If the photo speaks for itself then no description needed.

- Photos that look like postcards will be removed.

- Ugly pictures will be removed. (pictures with ugly lightings, ugly faces, ugly subject, taken from an ugly mobile phone...)

- Totally irrelevant photos like insects or plants will be removed.


Please don't spam the group, there's a limit of 5 photos a day for your convenience but don't post 5 photos everyday as they certainly won't meet the quality required to show our goal unless this is your only occupation in life.

If your photo gets removed don't take it bad unless marked otherwise. I'm very focused on quality. If you find some other photos you think are not as good as the one removed it's just a way to encourage newcomers and show them which photos are welcome but they might be removed later when replaced by better photos of the same person.
