About Space Shuttle Discovery
Join us on Space Shuttle Discovery's new mission to educate and inspire! In April, 2012, Discovery arrived at its new home at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly VA. Share your photos from Discovery's arrival, when you visit, or share your own past experiences with Discovery. Discovery is the longest-serving orbiter, having flown 39 times from 1984 through 2011 — more missions than any of its sister ships — spending altogether 365 days in space.
