About Our Sydney Opera House
Have you ever noticed how the Sydney Opera House turns up unexpectedly? As Dame Edna’s hat, as a sofa made from tea towels or as origami miniatures? Do you like to tell the complex tale of the construction of the Opera House, with all its political intrigue? Do you also love to describe the architecture as a ‘scrum of nuns’ or ‘dishrack full of crockery’?
The Sydney Opera House is a locus for people’s creative social practices.
My name is Cristina Garduno Freeman. I am a PhD Student at UTS, researching the social significance and intangible heritage of the Sydney Opera House. I’m fascinated to know how this unique building inspires so many cultural and creative activities. I want your participation, your thoughts and your input, its your opera house after all. You can do this on www.oursydneyoperahouse.com or by contributing your photographs of the things you like to DO with the Sydney Opera House
Your contribution might be in words or in images, a comment, or something more personal or relating your experiences with the building.
