About Southville and Bedminster Calendar

There's going to be a beautiful calendar in 2008, featuring pictures and information about Southville and Bedminster. And YOU are invited to submit photos for inclusion! As yet, this is an unfunded community effort, there's no fee involved, I'm afraid - just the satisfaction of seeing your work being put to good use, and obviously any photos used will be credited. As the project gains momentum, we're hoping to get sponsorship and/or funding, so there may well be a prize for selected entries.

So if you have good pix that say something about the area, please add them to this group. We aim to include at least 100 pictures, with one A4 "feature picture" per month and several smaller ones on the date page below. If any of your pix are selected, we'll need a high resolution version for printing, so please email your contact details (name, email address, and picture title(s) to southvillecalendar@gmail.com, so that we can contact you later on.

Thanks in anticipation of your support,

Dave.

PS - Here's the copy of a press release that will be going out shortly in various publications...

Calendar Days

Budding photographers are being sought to send their snaps of Southville and Bedminster for inclusion in a 2008 calendar being produced by volunteers at the Southville Centre.

‘We’d really like the calendar to promote the fantastic variety of community projects, events and local institutions that make Southville and Bedminster such a great place to live, everything from the Arts Trail and park events to local sports and our fantastic independent shops’ said Ben Barker, Chair of Southville Community Development Association (SCDA).
