About South Street Seaport

Anyone who's been to New York has seen or heard of South Street Seaport...it's a mystery to me why it's taken so long to make a group for this magnificent place.
Finally we can share our photos! These are the guidelines. They're very simple, follow them and your photos will have a long fruitful run in this group.

-No people.
(We want to see the port, not you're buddies hanging out at the port.) Naturally there will be people in your shots, but make sure it's clear that the subject is South Street Seaport. For example, it’s okay if you have someone staring at the window displays at the shops.

-Please post only the creme de la creme. We don't want to see the same thing 3 different times.

-Please Include photos of the stores in the shopping center, the restaurants, the food, the employee's, Maiden Lane, the ships of course, shows, boardwalk etc.

-Please do not include Pier11 or any other pier or building surrounding South Street Seaport. We know it's on South Street, but we know it's not symbolic of it.

-Photos of South Street Seaport shot from somewhere other than South Street are acceptable. For example, a photo of the pier shot while walking over the Brooklyn Bridge is A okay.

-You can also include photos of the view. Ex: A photo of the New Jersey skyline, as long as it was shot from the port.

-Don't worry this is the last one :), photos shot from any of the many boat trips available. You can include photos of the boats, its view, the conductor etc. as long as it departed from Pier 17.
