About SOT Picture of the Week

Every week, The State of Things on North Carolina Public Radio - WUNC chooses a photo to put on its Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-State-of-Things-on-WUNC/96689615368) . The photos are uploaded to our public Flickr page by our listeners, staff members, and amateur photographers. We will notify you if we use your photo and provide a link to your site or email address, but otherwise we offer no compensation.

We choose photos based on a series of non-scientific criteria. They are:

- Images that capture visually what we try to bring you on the radio everyday: the North Carolina Experience.
- Photos that can be explained simply by giving the geographic location as the caption (example: Elm St., Greensboro)
- landscape (horizontal) orientation
- Pictures that are at least 380 pixels wide at 72 dpi
- Pictures we like

If you don’t want to upload photos to Flickr, you can also email them to us at sot@wunc.org.
