About Something Very Special
I try to be more active again at Flickr, and so you can recommend new images for the pool, but i do not control the queue very frequently, so please do not be disappointed, when it takes more time than usual, until new images are appearing.
In this group we want to show images, that are different to the huge mass of "ordinary" shots. We want to show photographs, that are full of inspiration or/and new ideas or that are showing a strange scenery, surreal and weird things - with other words: Something very special! So this is not the group for the standard portrait, streetphoto or landscape, even if they are very well made.
We are the group for photographers, who are exploring their world with their own and unique way of seeing. We don't care about gear and equipment, a brilliant or inspiring idea can be made with a simple snapshot camera or high end equipment. We love them all, if they are well made, well seen, well created.
Please note, that we prefer photographed images, not artworks or paintings, though of course a certain post processing work is allowed. But overdosed hdr-images or oversaturated ordinary sunsets etc. will have no chance to enter this pool.
You can post your digital and analog shots and can show all motives, from portraits to landscapes, but they should be strange, weird, original, new - with one word: Something very special, not "business as usual".
So a good or very good image is not something very special or very inspiring to others. We do not want to show placative or "well made" works, staged and posed fashion shots etc. - Flickr is full of such groups. We want to show flashes of inspiration, weird and/or timeless compositions (with camera, not with photoshop) and new ideas.
And please don't forget: The images should be big enough, to show them in our pool, at least 533x800 pixel and they should be technically okay.
