About Soap Box Derby
This group is for photographs taken at All-American Soap Box Derby events. This seems appropriate as a photo group, since the derby was first envisioned by a newspaper reporter doing a photographic assignment in Dayton, Ohio.
The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program which has run nationally since 1934. World Championship finals are held each August at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio.
This isn't a place for photos of adult events. There are other groups that cover those. Also, since the derby is for boys and girls age 8 through 17 -- photos should all be appropriate for viewing by kids.
