16 Jun 07 - Welcome to my new group, created in answer to requests for learning my techniques for painting from photos as well as tips from other members. This is a group where you can grow as an artist! All you need is Paint Shop Pro. I use PSP X but you can use whatever one you have and you don't need a lot of fancy plugins to do this.Join and tell others! I am not affiliated with Corel or PSP in any way. I have free picture tutorials online here: www.pbase.com/skyopal/.

About Digital Painting Techniques

Tips and Tutorials for turning photos into paintings using Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, etc.
My tutorials will most likely be PSP. Others are welcome to post their tutorials.
How to create your own brushes. Learning to use layers for special effects. This is a great group for beginners to pick up tips and for the more experienced to share their work and techniques either under their photos in their gallery or in the group discussion area.

Members are invited to post photos suitable for smudging. Close ups of flowers, faces, portraits, animals, and still life work best. Landscapes , especially oceans, and mountains work great.

This is a family friendly group and anything offensive will be deleted.

You are allowed to lurk and learn if you like. If you need help or tips, we will search for the best answers. I hope this is a very interactive group.

We are not affiliated in any way with Corel, just love Paint Shop Pro, Painter, and Twisted Brush..

Please try to give constructive criticism and this will be a terrific group.

Tutorials can also be found on the website below ..
